How did Elvis the Cat Photography Come to Be?
I come from a family of many talented and creative people. It wasn't until I decided to take my photography interest more seriously that I realized the creative gene may not have skipped me after all!
When I decided to turn this into a side career and something to do hopefully for many of my retirement years, I officially started up Elvis the Cat Photography, and here I am today.
I named this after the stubbornest cat I rescued during a significant life change I was experiencing, and he had had a rough life up till then. It's a story for another time, but let's say he ended up being the best damn pet I ever had, and there were some tough competition ahead of him and they have been all dogs! Never in my 50 years before him, did I ever see a Cat being the pet to end up getting my heart the most - 😹
Sadly, we lost Elvis in 2022 to an aggressive form of Cancer. His life was cut too short, and we didn't have enough time. But he lives on! That’s him in my main Logo as well as in our hearts.
Why the Passion for Music and Sports?
Sports and Music are two of my main passions. Since a young age, I have been involved with many sports and programs, either as a competitive player, coach, referee, or volunteer. And today, I choose to "focus" on them with my 📸.
Musically, I am an OG Bass Player (not a guitarist who happens to play Bass) who first picked it up as part of my High School Jazz Band. I have played in a handful of bands and still jam with a group of friends whenever we can. I love being a part of the local Detroit Music Scene and flexing my creative photography to provide Artists and Bands the best I can for their marketing purposes.
